In this episode, we dive deep into the connection between patience, overeating, and honoring the body’s fullness cues. So often, impatience leads us to push past satisfaction, chasing the feeling of being “stuffed” instead of trusting that enough is enough.
Through Scripture, we see that Jesus always meets our needs—not in excess, but in sufficiency. The miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 wasn’t about overindulgence; it was about provision. Everyone ate until they were satisfied, and the miracle was in needs being met, not in abundance for abundance’s sake.
We’ll also explore how a lack of the fruits of the Spirit—patience, self-control, gentleness—can ripple into every area of life, not just eating. When we ignore God’s voice at the table, we often ignore His voice in other areas too. Learning to stop at satisfied is more than a health practice—it’s a spiritual discipline that teaches us to trust God’s sufficiency and walk in obedience.
